About
Hi, I’m Matt. Video game audio is my deep-seated passion; nothing fills me with more joy than implementing a footstep and hearing that auditory feedback in an expansive, immersive video game world full of possibilities.
For nearly a decade, I've dedicated myself to the craft of sound design and implementation. I utilize industry-standard software such as Reaper to create impactful sounds, FMOD to begin the implementation process, and ultimately Unity—along with FMOD's C# API—for the final step of bringing a world to life. My experience isn't limited to a single workflow, either. I believe flexibility is a highly valuable skill, and I have applied this mindset to my work with Pro Tools, Unreal Engine, and Wwise (including visual scripting). Using everything I've learned, I have successfully delivered multiple projects under tight deadlines. While I prefer to let the quality of my work speak for itself, it has been a privilege to be invited back by teams to collaborate on multiple projects.
My experience takes me far beyond the realms of implementation, too. Being part of the award-winning sound design team for the 2020 short film Lavender is a huge point of pride for me. Serving as the assistant dialogue editor, I used iZotope RX to help the dialogue shine. Additionally, claiming credits on the Amazon Prime series Ringside and the film A Fluorescent Sky is something I hold in high regard.
Working with audio never stops for me. In my spare time, I constantly expand my skillset and knowledge through music production. This hobby has taught me valuable skills that translate directly into my video game work. I use industry-recognized software such as Native Instruments' Absynth 5, Massive, and FM8 not only to compose music, but to create exciting, bold, and experimental SFX—some of which can be heard in my featured projects.
